Tafel Power

Practice

Tafel Power's work covers three areas of power transaction and infrastructure analysis, focused on AI infrastructure and large-load deployment across ERCOT and cross-ISO markets.

Power Transaction Structuring

Deal structuring, IRR modeling, offtake economics, and counterparty analysis for BESS, hybrid gas-plus-storage, and firm-power transactions. Work spans the full transaction lifecycle from initial diligence through term-sheet and post-close monitoring, with particular focus on how evolving interconnection frameworks (ERCOT's Batch Zero, PUCT Project 58481, and equivalents in other jurisdictions) reshape deal economics.

Large-Load Diligence

Assessment of power procurement strategy for large-load deployments, including interconnection queue analysis, financial security requirements under new large-load rules, behind-the-meter and hybrid configurations, and delivered cost of firm power adjusted for time-to-power risk.

LP-Side Diligence for Institutional Capital

Market analysis, deal structuring support, counterparty assessment, and regulatory tail-risk evaluation for institutional investors, particularly cross-border capital evaluating US power infrastructure and BESS opportunities.
